I’ve always found myself gravitating toward directing opportunities. In high school, I directed and produced videos for the school newspaper and created short films. The summer of my Junior year marked my directorial debut—I co-directed and produced Troilus and Cressida in a warehouse theatre space in New York. I loved the process of cutting a Shakespeare play and using an actor-focused directorial approach. I run my directing room like an acting class: if the scene isn’t working, we play and find a totally new way in.
